I have observed with very grave concern various abuses in some worshiping centers in Ghana and the world in the name of spiritual , prophetic revelations and divine interventions.
These happenings, especially in the Christian fraternity and other isms, or religious bodies discredit the Gospel and cause people to despise the positive influence of the word of God.
The role of Christianity "as the salt of the earth and light of the world" (Matt 5: 13- 14), is losing impact as a result of self-serving practices of some Christian leaders. It is a true Prophecy that Christianity will end, and surely by the look of things, it is coming to pass.The 'big men of religion', who have suppressed truth so that they can have power over the people have been beaten in their own game. Now people are searching for the truth everywhere since they have realized that most of the things their leaders are teaching them is not not not.
Such practices needs to be abhorred and the leader need to tend the flock of the Lord faithfully. People must know that no prophet (false) can take the place of Christ (the universal spirit of Avatars), as the object of worship. This of course does not discredit certain great individuals who have the Christ spirit in them (true prophets).
We should put our faith in GOD and some of the Avatars like Jesus the Christ to meet our needs even in times of difficulties and also to meditate upon things for themselves. People should cherish the values of hard work, patient endurance, moderation and contentment.
Religious leaders should intensify the faith formation of their members through teaching of the word of God in order to develop sustaining and sincere relationship with God, intimate prayer life and a life of selfless witnessing.
May the SPIRIT guide us all.
