THE KING OF GLORY

The earth is Yours and all within,
The world and those who dwell therein.
Upon the seas its frame was laid,
By sovereign hands its borders made.
Who shall ascend Your holy hill?
Who in Your sacred courts stand still?
The one whose hands and heart are pure,
Whose soul in truth remains secure.

GO BEFORE ME

Verse 1
Deliver me, O God, from those who rise,
From hidden hands and watchful eyes.
They wait for me in darkest night,
Yet You, my Lord, are still my light.
Without my fault they set their snare,
But You awake and hear my prayer.
My refuge strong, my shield so sure,
In You alone I stand secure.

Go before me, O my God,
Be my strength and be my guard.
You are my fortress through the storm,
My faithful shield, my saving arm.
Morning mercy, evening song,
In Your defense I still belong.

Their pride resounds in empty chords.
Like restless dogs they roam the street,
With bitter tongues and hasty feet.

For You are sovereign over all.

THE LORD MY SHEPHERD

(Inspired by Psalm 23)

Verse 1
The Lord my Shepherd gently leads,
He knows my voice, He knows my needs.
In pastures green He lets me lie,
Where quiet waters wander by.
He heals my soul, restores my strength,
And guides my steps through life’s full length.
For His great Name He shows the way,
In righteous paths I will not stray.

Chorus
You are my Shepherd, I shall not want,
Through darkest valleys You are constant.
Your rod and staff, they comfort me,
Your presence is my victory.
Goodness and mercy all my days,
Shall follow me in endless praise.
Forever in Your house I’ll be,
My Shepherd, Lord, eternally.

Verse 2
Though shadows fall in death’s deep vale,
My heart shall trust, my faith won’t fail.
No evil shall my spirit shake,
For You are near at every break.
You spread a table in my sight,
Before my foes, my feast of light.
You pour my cup till it overflows,
With holy oil my head You chose.

CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART

Verse 1
Have mercy on me, O my God,
According to Your steadfast love.
Blot out my sin, wash me within,
Cleanse every stain my soul has known.
Against You only have I sinned,
In truth You see the heart of man.
In hidden parts make wisdom rise,
Let truth awaken in my eyes.

Chorus
Create in me a clean heart, Lord,
Renew a spirit firm and pure.
Cast me not from Your holy face,
Take not from me Your saving grace.
Restore to me salvation’s joy,
A willing heart my life employ.
Then will my song forever be,
Of mercy, love, and victory.

Purge me with hyssop, make me clean,
Whiter than snow my soul shall gleam.
Let broken bones rejoice again,
Hide not Your face from all my shame.
The sacrifice You seek, O God,
A broken heart beneath Your rod.
Not burnt offerings do You require,
But humbled hearts set all on fire.
