What are your tips to promote a new book?
Much better than the best book review is a photo or a video. People are visually oriented, even the ones who read books.
If there’s an attractive picture, people will look at it. Add a little text to it, don't forget the link to your book, and here we go.
Even better than pictures are videos. A book promotion video is easily done and far less expensive than what people might think. I did a couple of them, in cooperation with one of my distributors (an e-commerce company).
A promo video that a local company made for my book.[1]
These simple clips were extremely successful. One of them gained 125k viewers, in a country (Kosovo) that only has 1.7 million citizens.

A well-known Kosovo TV host presenting my book on television.
Even better than producing your own promo clips is doing interviews on TV. I never sold more books than when I appeared on a prime time TV talk show.
I agreed with the journalists that we would talk about my book only during the last minutes of the show, but that was enough. The next day, people went to the local bookstores and bought the book.
